oh my god, it's a full on double rainbow all the way across the sky!!!

Earlier this afternoon I went for a walk on what I thought was the least opportune moment to pick out of the entire day as it started to rain.

The sky looked angry, too.

I thought about turning back, but I had been sitting all day and the sun was an hour from setting, so onwards I went.

For the briefest moment, I started to feel a twinge of grumpiness, and then I beheld truly the most magnificent rainbow I had ever seen.

It stretched across the entire sky in this gorgeous and saturated array of colours. It was, without a doubt, the brightest and most opaque rainbow I had ever witnessed.

I sprinted up the hill, smiling like a madman, eager to gain a higher vantage point and revel in it's splendour for a while.

I stared at it for what felt like an eternity, and just before I was about to continue on, I noticed the faintest hint of another rainbow stretching parallel to the first one: a double rainbow!

I'm going to put it out there: I think this was one of the most spectacular walks I've ever been on.
